Phoenix Community Care have always aimed to demonstrate that community sees wider than our local neigborhod and that we should always be looking at the bigger picture. In trying to encourage this moral philosophy, Pcc have taken two international projects to support those communities in completely different situations to ours. lanka kids

In Sri Lanka their has been national war for the past thirty years and the 2004 boxing day Tsunami. A lot of areas within Sri Lanka have found it hard to build and develop it's resources . Pcc, through the Paalam project, has helped develop a school, children's home, a medical centre and a sewing project.

In Kenya, the community projects are a lot younger but are already having a big impact. In Nakuru (which is just outside Nairobi), we have supported a local business called Amptex which teaches street children mechanical skills and is a garage business which takes children off the street and gives them a working trade.Their is other projects in the pipeline and there is also camping trips being organised over summer periods.

If you would like to find out more about these projects or you would like to get involved, please drop us a line. You can also donate by clicking here.
